Oh, my GOD, I hate those "reasons" so much. Particularly the Org. XIII one. Never mind that they were heartless villains (literally) who wanted to destroy all the worlds if it meant getting what they wanted, THEY WERE TRAGIC AND HOT. >_> (I'm not saying they weren't totally unsympathetic, but come on...)
And frankly, to me, Sora's "too damn happy" personality is a breath of fresh air to me. A lot of protagnists these days (regardless of media) need to be dark and angsty and broody and stuff, have you noticed? (I'm lookin' at you, Riku) Gets irritating after a while! I like his innocent and happy persona. Makes me feel good. ^^
